Milos: An undiscovered paradise according to Vogue

The Australian Vogue suggests the island of Milos as the best Greek island for those who are looking for an undiscovered paradise!

Located in the Aegean Sea and part of the Cyclades, this island of volcanic origin features more than 70 beaches – from Sarakiniko, the most photographed thanks to its unique lunar landscape, to Kleftiko, an old pirates’ hangout.

Milos is famous for being the location of the statue of Aphrodite, the ancient Greek goddess of love and beauty, discovered in 1820 and now on permanent display at the Louvre Museum in Paris, said Vogue. However, the article points out that the Venus De Milo is not the island’s only claim to fame. The beaches here are quite different compared with other Greek islands due to their interesting rock formations, so be sure to include Sarakiniko Beach.

This otherworldly paradise will have you feeling as though you’ve landed on the moon thanks to its smooth limestone rock formation that makes up the impressive landscape.
