The Festival of Cycladic Gastronomy Nikolaos Tselementes was awarded with the Golden “European Gastronomic Festival 2016” Award, by CEUCO (European Oenogastronomic Brotherhoods Council).
The Festival, which took place on September on Sifnos island for 10th consecutive year, promotes the Cycladic gastronomy in Greece and abroad. For the festival purposes, the islands of Cyclades meet up in Sifnos to present their special gastronomic and cultural tradition of the region.
The European Oenogastronomic Brotherhoods Council, that will hold its annual congress in Lisbon this November, decided to offer the golden award to The Festival of Cycladic Gastronomy!
Also, South Aegean region claims to be awarded as the Gastronomic region of Europe in 2019!
